Rallybio, is a privately held development-stage biotechnology company incorporated in January 2018. The Company has raised more than $180 million in financing with the ambition to transform the lives of patients with devastating diseases and has a pipeline of assets in development.

Rallybio is seeking an individual to establish and then execute an overall Human Resources strategy for Rallybio. Due to the high ambitions held by the Rallybio team, the successful candidate will have the unique opportunity to:

  • Create and execute a strategy that can serve Rallybio in its current form
  • Be scaled to grow with Rallybio as we achieve our ambition to be a commercial stage company
  • Achieve top levels of HR excellence at every stage of our growth

This role will require the selected individual to be comfortable delivering results through individual effort in the short term, whilst being able to flex and achieve results through others as Rallybio grows.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee organization’s recruitment, interview, selection, and hiring processes
  • Plan and structure employee benefit, payroll, health and safety programs to attract and retain top talent
  • Oversee payroll and benefits processing on a semi-monthly basis
  • Facilitate and monitor the implementation of standardized human resource processes
  • Establish a process to ensure all team members are able to continuously develop their capabilities and skills in support of Rallybio’s business goals
  • Establish, execute and monitor a succession planning process
  • Establish processes and systems to manage organizational effectiveness and morale
  • Establish, lead and execute a Diversity, Equality and Inclusion (DEI) strategy that will meet the needs of both internal and external stakeholders
  • Establish processes to ensure continual development, understanding and commitment to the Rallybio culture both in terms of established Values and Behaviors, as well as the unwritten sprit within the company
  • Provide Board level input with a particular focus on the support of the Compensation and Nomination and Governance Committees
  • Adhere to all internal policies and legal standards
  • Defend the organization from inquiries by external parties
  • Implement human resource software systems for efficiency
  • Recommend new and improved measures for performance evaluations
  • Create and deliver briefings to Rallybio leadership, colleagues and Board members

 Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • 10+ years experience working as a HR Director and/or leading the HR function of a growing organization, with experience with a life sciences company a strong benefit
  • Advanced degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related fields
  • In-depth knowledge about Human Resource processes, employment legislation, and legal regulations, with exposure to international HR processes a strong benefit
  • Strategic thinker, hands on “doer,” and thought partner who possesses problem-solving skills

  • Understanding and experience with employer branding and recruitment marketing strategies
  • Excellent knowledge of all aspects of HR management
  • Experience with HR tools and recruiting software
  • Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on company’s success
